What Do We Collect?

We aim to collect items that reflect the history, heritage, and culture of Kashmir through time in line with the vision, mission and goals of the organization.

Criteria For Collection

All donations will be assessed against the following criteria:

Condition: The physical condition of artifacts and possible costs involved in treatment, if needed. Objects in poor condition unless they are rare, or of historic value, will not be accepted

Documentation: Objects with detailed information, provenance, function and value, details necessary for future collection management will be considered

Relevance: Objects will only be accepted if they support the mission of the Center

Appraisal: The CFK does not have capacity to offer appraisals. Donors will be responsible for independent appraisals.
